Family owned and operated, Robb’s Pillow Furniture Futons, Mattresses & Bean Bags has been reinventing the way the world relaxes since 1973! 

Robb's life changed at the age of 16 when he was hit by a drunk driver, leaving him paralyzed on the left side of his body and with chronic pain. Several years later while studying at the University of Oregon, Robb set out to help alleviate this pain by creating a new type of furniture, one that is supportive yet low pressure, long lasting, and conforming to the body. He took the basic concept of the bean bag chair but developed a specially cut, high-grade upholstery foam fill which offers a supportive, comforting sensation... like a gentle hug. This special foam fill doesn't go flat like other similar products, just fluff up the piece and it feels new again. Almost immediately other people tried out Robb's new Pillow Furniture, were amazed at the comfort and wanted a piece of their own, and so Robb's Pillow Furniture was born!

For years Robb operated the business alone, providing custom Pillow Furniture pieces to numerous families, schools, churches, and community centers. Eventually Robb met Emily, his future wife, and her son Jeff, and the trio expanded the business into also offering a wide range of high-quality, affordably priced furniture, including beds, mattresses, bunk beds, futons and more! 

It was also during this time that Robb's origin story came full circle. It was revealed by local occupational therapists that many other families were also using Robb's Pillow Furniture for individuals with physical and mental disabilities, especially those in the autism community. It was after this revelation that Robb's sister company, Autism & Special Needs Furniture, was created to deliver the custom relief enjoyed by so many, tailored to the specific needs of individuals with autism and other developmental and physical disabilities.
